About Us
The
owner of Carolina Mat, Ronald Harrison, has been in the
lumber industry since the1950’s and has been making mats
since the 1970’s, with experience in all aspects of the
lumber industry, from sawmills, to pallets, to mats.
Ronald Harrison was the first person in the area to
make mats after being asked by Weyerhauser Paper Mill to
design and manufacture a mat for their loggers to use to
allow them to keep working no matter the weather and to
prevent the trucks from getting stuck, always costly and
time consuming.
